About Me

With over 30 years of broadcasting experience, I have worked in small market and large market, National and International Network News & Sports, Production Television,  in addition to lending my expertise to not-for-profit NGOs.

As the first Senior ENG Digital Technician for Global National (fifteen years), I have covered events that have taken me all over the world:  from Haiti, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Argentina, China, Thailand, Egypt, and Libya, to covering Arab Springs, the Royal Wedding, floods and hurricanes. These unique experiences have afforded me many opportunities to build and use my skills while witnessing history in the making.

After opening the Global National Beijing bureau in 2008 and spending three years in Asia, I returned to Canada to launch a political affairs show in late 2011, landing in Ottawa, Ontario. The West Block with Tom Clark became Canada’s most watched political affairs show in our very first season.

As an avid fly fisher, I’ve been fortunate to work and grow with The New Fly Fisher television series since its inaugural season in 2000 until 2018, as one of their respected Directors of Photography. The New Fly Fisher is one of WFN’s top rated shows and it continues its 18 year run.

Whether you require a shooter, editor, producer, director of photography, or some combination of all of the above, I can supply the skills you require for almost any job in any environment. As a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol for 12 years, I learned and retained valuable first aid skills. These additional skills, along with completing a hazardous environment training course, gives me an eye for risk assessment and ensuring safety remains a top priority.
